ABOUT

Tom Noonan is a musician, saxophonist and teacher hailing from and living in Melbourne, Australia.

He graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts with First Class Honours. He studied with Ian Whitehurst, Tim Wilson, Julien Wilson, Jamie Oehlers, Peter Petrucci and Phil Noy. He has also undertaken private tuition with David Ades and Will Vinson.

He has performed with artists including the Australian Art Orchestra, Ensemble Offspring, Bopstretch and Julian Simonsz. He co-directed the Bennetts Lane Big Band in 2014-15. Currently, Tom co-leads the group dot dot dot with guitarist Matt Hoyne. He also performs regularly with Aaron McCoullough, Moving Targets and others. His first major creation, pas de deux, was released in 2018.

Tom teaches woodwinds and piano and is active as a creative and commercial musician.
